This comes days after a note that was interpreted by the cabin crew as a bomb threat on an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Kannur, triggering an emergency security response after the aircraft landed at Kannur International Airport on Wednesday. The note was discovered in a waste bin inside one of the aircraft’s lavatories after the flight landed at around 3.20 pm. The cabin crew immediately alerted Air Traffic Control (ATC) and security authorities, prompting an emergency response. The aircraft was subsequently moved to an isolation bay, where bomb disposal and dog squad teams conducted a comprehensive search. However, nothing suspicious was found. Police later said the note did not contain any bomb threat and had been “misinterpreted" by the cabin crew.
