The MEA said that 21 of the 24 Indian crew members on board had been rescued, while three Indians were initially reported missing."Our Embassy in Oman is closely monitoring the situation and proactively coordinating with the Omani authorities in the ongoing search and rescue operation," the ministry said.India also expressed concern over the deteriorating security situation in the region, stating that repeated attacks on shipping were deeply worrying and stemmed from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The MEA reiterated its call for an immediate de-escalation of tensions and stressed the need for a diplomatic resolution to restore peace and stability in the region.(With inputs from ANI)
