The demonstration focused on the recent NEET paper leaks and the broader accountability crisis within the education system. Protesters, including IT workers, law students, and an 81-year-old former sociology professor, demanded the immediate resignation of the Education Minister.
Participants distributed roses to symbolise a peaceful protest while voicing their frustrations over the privatisation of education, the rise of coaching class rackets, and the lack of secure employment opportunities. Demonstrators highlighted that despite previous assurances, paper leaks continue to occur, jeopardising the future of millions of candidates preparing for competitive exams. The crowd, comprising individuals from Pune, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Uttar Pradesh, criticised the government for alleged corruption and a failure to conduct fair examinations.
The protest underscored growing concerns among the youth regarding the integrity of the country's educational and examination infrastructure.
