HYDERABAD Deputy Floor Leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the Assembly T. Harish Rao has alleged a conspiracy by Congress leaders for the rejection of nomination papers of Meenakshi Natarajan for Rajya Sabha elections from Madhya Pradesh, and asked if Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy would set up a special investigation team for enquiry. Rao alleged that a Congress leader, who is considered close to the Chief Minister and who had aspired for the TPCC working presidentās post, was behind the back-stabbing of the Congress party candidate.
In a chat with mediapersons here on Thursday, he stated that the same leader had opposed her nomination to the Rajya Sabha seat in the past and sought to know how the Congress party would do justice to people in Telangana when party leaders themselves had back-stabbed the in-charge of party affairs. Coming to the State affairs, Mr. Harish Rao alleged a ā¹2,000 crore scam in the education department and it was because of contracts and commissions the reopening of schools has been postponed in the State and the major scam was scripted in the name of Gujarat contractors.
Further, he alleged that the State Government had arranged middlemen for pursuing loans from banks and other financial institutions, and a middleman from Mumbai had bought a private aircraft with the commission amount given by
the State Government. He accused the Congress Government of enabling flight of investments and employment opportunities to Andhra Pradesh by scrapping the Pharma City project. The BRS would scrap Future City once it returned to power.
