The Prime Minister held separate one-on-one meetings with the newly elected Chief Minister of Karnataka, the Chief Minister of Telangana, and the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in New Delhi. These meetings followed a top council conference, where the leaders raised significant developmental and financial demands for their respective southern states.
The Finance Minister attended the discussions to note the specific state-level issues. The central government emphasised maintaining cordial relations with all states, regardless of the ruling political party, to focus on the collective goal of transforming the nation into a developed country by twenty forty-seven. The meeting with the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister marked their second discussion in a fortnight.
