The newly formed Karnataka government, led by Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, faces major allegations from the BJP. The opposition has alleged a thirty-six thousand crore rupee scam in solid waste management, accusing the Congress government of awarding a thirty-year tender to a Delhi-based blacklisted company to siphon off public funds.
The BJP further claimed a ten thousand crore rupee kickback occurred and that top Congress brass were involved in the deal. BJP leaders described Karnataka under the Congress party as India's most corrupt state and suggested that this controversy explains why ministers are fighting for the Bengaluru development portfolio.
Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has strongly rejected all the allegations. Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
