Giving a presentation on Swarna Andhra @2047 Vision in the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting in New Delhi on Thursday, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said efforts were being made to transform the State into a prosperous, inclusive and globally competitive economy through a human capital-driven development model. He noted that the vision was focused on achieving zero poverty, creating large-scale employment opportunities, enhancing skills, ensuring water and energy security and accelerating growth through agri-tech, logistics and deep-tech integration. The Chief Minister highlighted the State’s technology-led governance framework that leverages Real Time Governance, Artificial Intelligence-enabled analytics, real-time monitoring systems and predictive governance tools such as AWARE.
These initiatives were improving administrative efficiency, enabling evidence-based decision-making and enhancing citizen service delivery. Naidu informed the NITI Aayog Governing Council that governance reforms, transparent policies and a business-friendly ecosystem have enabled Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) to attract investments amounting to more than ₹23 lakh crore over the last two years. Emphasising on sustainable economic development, Mr. Naidu called upon the States to focus on strengthening infrastructure, ensuring policy stability and expediting approvals and clearances rather than engaging in unsustainable incentive-based competition for attracting investments. 7 basic necessities The Chief Minister reiterated the State government’s commitment to ensuring that every family has access to seven basic necessities — housing, sanitation, tap water, clean cooking fuel, electricity, digital connectivity, and direct benefit transfers — as part of its inclusive development agenda.
Further, Mr. Naidu harped on the innovative Zero Poverty P4 initiative, which encourages the top 10% of society to support the bottom 20% through philanthropy, mentorship and community participation thereby fostering inclusive and equitable growth. Education reforms Stressing on the importance of preparing the workforce for the future, he said A.P. was undertaking major education reforms through AI-enabled learning, industry-integrated higher education, flexible lifelong learning pathways and advanced skilling programmes in emerging fields such as AI and quantum technologies. Demographic sustainability Drawing attention to the State’s fertility rate which was below 1.5, the Chief Minister called for greater national focus on demographic sustainability and outlined the State’s Population Management Policy aimed at addressing future workforce shortages, ageing-related challenges and economic sustainability.
