IT & HRD Minister Nara Lokesh has said that the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Mangalagiri of Guntur district will be renovated at a cost of ₹6 crore. Lokesh, who is also Mangalagiri MLA, approved the proposal during a review meeting held at his residence on Thursday.
He also approved the restoration of Sri Krishna Devaraya Mandapam, reconstruction of the Yagasala and Ganta Mandapam, and the construction of a new vehicle shed as proposed by the officials. He instructs the officials to get the works done in accordance with the temple traditions. An official release said Mr. Lokesh is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the development works on July 3 and donations for teh temple works are also being received.
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy is one of the most revered Vaishnavite shrines in Andhra Pradesh.
