Democratic Alliance leaders gathered at the Bharat Mandapam to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi becoming India's longest-serving prime minister, surpassing predecessors like Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. During the event, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu called Prime Minister Modi the 'right leader at the right time'. Union Minister Chirag Paswan and Home Minister Amit Shah also praised his tenure for bringing political stability and decisive governance.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi thanked the citizens and criticized the Congress party, stating that the success of the NDA rule lies in freeing the country from the Congress's 'vicious trap'. He added that the Congress previously blamed India's vast Hindu population for the nation's slow growth. The Congress party responded by accusing the government of relying on 'event management and manufactured narratives'.
The opposition party claimed the current administration engages in sloganeering while keeping the nation trapped in a web of inflation and unemployment.
