IND A vs AFG A Live: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in spotlight as India eye another win

Prabhsimran Singh and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi know they will need to work much harder for their runs today. The conditions in Dambulla offer far less assistance to batters than the IPL, while Afghanistan A possess a balanced bowling attack with both pace and spin capable of causing problems.
Seven members of Afghanistan's 15-player squad have already represented the senior national team, though most are still relatively inexperienced. With Afghanistan scheduled to play a five-match ODI series in Ireland in August, strong performances in this tournament could boost their chances of earning a national call-up.
India A, meanwhile, will be looking for a better effort with the ball after their bowlers struggled to make early inroads in the last match. The toss is likely to be crucial once again. "Win the toss, bat first" was the preferred strategy in the previous game, and there is little reason to expect a change in approach today.
