The force described Trump’s claim as “completely false" and said it was being used as a “cover to avoid war," according to the report. Trump’s comments were made amid escalating military tensions between Washington and Tehran. The US President had said Iranian leaders requested a pause in American bombing operations and warned that strikes could resume if no agreement was reached. He also told Fox News that Israel was not involved in the latest US military strikes on Iranian targets. The IRGC’s denial creates a direct contradiction between the two sides at a time when military exchanges between the United States and Iran have intensified.
