India's Ministry of External Affairs has summoned the United States Charge d'Affaires over a military strike on a vessel off Oman carrying Indian nationals. The Ministry of External Affairs lodged a strong protest during the meeting at around nine PM. According to the ministry, twenty-one of the twenty-four Indian crew members on board the vessel, Stella Bello, have been rescued, while three remain missing.
The Indian Embassy in Oman is coordinating with Omani authorities in search and rescue operations. This is the second incident involving the rescue of Indian crew members on a ship struck by the US military in the region.
