The Centre has been compelled to implement a ‘normal’ increase in petroleum prices due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, said Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Wednesday. Measures are being taken to prevent any shortage of petrol, diesel or LPG.
Efforts are also under way to secure alternative supplies from countries such as Russia and Venezuela, he said. Rao noted that, unlike some nations that have resorted to rationing fuel or shutting down filling stations amid supply disruptions, the Modi government has ensured uninterrupted availability of petroleum products across the country.
He said that ‘New India’ under Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains focused on development and on ensuring that the benefits of growth reach every citizen.
The government, he said, has acted proactively to balance global challenges with domestic needs while maintaining stability in fuel supply.
