The Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has outlined its vision for India's development leading up to 2047, emphasising a 'Nation First' approach. Highlighting achievements over the past twelve years, the government pointed to the abrogation of Article 370, the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the One Rank One Pension scheme. Security measures, including surgical strikes and efforts to eradicate Naxalism, were also noted.
Looking ahead, the focus is on achieving a 500-gigawatt renewable energy target, advancing nuclear energy through fast breeder reactor technology, and promoting green hydrogen. The government aims to transform India into a global manufacturing powerhouse, with plans for 'Made in India' civil aircraft and ships. Additionally, investments in futuristic technologies like artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and semiconductor ecosystems are being prioritised.
The vision also includes developing India as a premier destination for global tourism, conferences, and sports, with ongoing preparations for the Olympics reflecting the country's high aspirations.
