Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister has told Al Jazeera that Tehran was not behind the incident involving a US Apache helicopter over the Strait of Hormuz.
He said that given the highly tense situation in the strategic waterway, such incidents could occur unintentionally and were not the result of deliberate targeting by Iran.
