A crisis has emerged within the Jammu and Kashmir government as several Conference MLAs have raised the banner of revolt following a recent cabinet reshuffle. Disgruntled legislators are holding internal meetings and plan to meet party patron Dr Farooq Abdullah to present their demands. Key grievances include removing ministers who have completed two years in office, including the Deputy Chief Minister, dropping Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, and adopting a more aggressive stance on Article 370 and 35A.
Amid reports of potential resignations and the earlier resignation of Srinagar MP Aga Ruhullah, the internal dissent poses a significant test for the stability of the Omar Abdullah-led administration in the assembly.
