Telangana government is committed to building a vibrant and industry-friendly ecosystem not only in Hyderabad but across the State, Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu said here on Tuesday. The Minister, who was speaking at the FTCCI Excellence Awards 2026 presentation ceremony, said this while stressing how Telangana intends to be at the forefront of Indiaās next phase of growth. The focus will be on growth of Information Technology, Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Deeptech sectors as well as MSMEs.
Noting that the government wants to be more of a partner to every entrepreneur and not merely a regulator, Mr.Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad has already emerged as a prime destination for investors because of the vibrant industrial ecosystem. āInvestors looking at India are increasingly looking at Hyderabad,ā he said, adding the State government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is optimistic, future-focused, and positive in its approach. Citing the measures initiated by the government, including the first MSME Policy, the Minister said the government had released a portion of the pending subsidies despite the financial restructuring that is underway.
On concerns related to minimum wages, he said the government has adopted a balanced approach and evolved guidelines that sought to protect both industry interests and worker welfare. In a release, the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) said the Excellence Awards 2026 were presented to organisations and individuals who demonstrated outstanding achievements in their respective fields. FTCCI president Ravi Kumar said for nearly five decades the Excellence Awards have been celebrating outstanding achievements in industry, innovation, quality, sustainability, and leadership.
Commending Telangana Governmentās progressive policies, including TG-iPASS, the MSME Policy, and the Green Energy Policy, which have strengthened investor confidence and accelerated industrial growth, he underscored the need for continued focus on ease, cost and speed of doing business, timely release of MSME incentives and strengthening skill development initiatives.
