Reigning World Cup champions Argentina begin their title defence against Algeria in Kansas City, with all eyes on Lionel Messi in what is expected to be his sixth and final World Cup.
Argentina are aiming to become the first side to retain the trophy since Brazil's back-to-back triumphs in 1958 and 1962.
