Anand was arrested in connection with an attack on a coaching institute run by popular educator Faisal Khan, better known as Khan Sir. According to police, a group of 15-20 people allegedly vandalised the premises of Khan Global Studies Institute in Patna on the night of June 2 and pelted stones at the building, damaging property. The incident escalated into a major controversy within the city’s coaching industry, drawing widespread attention on social media and among students. In a related development, police on Thursday detained two security guards associated with Khan Sir’s coaching institute for allegedly firing shots during the June 2 incident. The investigation is ongoing, with police examining CCTV footage, witness statements and other evidence to determine the sequence of events and identify those responsible. Who Is Roshan Anand?
Raushan Anand’s journey began in Dhamsena village of Bihar’s Saharsa district, where he was born into a modest farming family. Raised amid financial hardships and educated in government schools with limited resources, he viewed education as the only path to a better future. At 15, he left his village for Patna with dreams of becoming an engineer. Like thousands of aspirants, he later moved to Kota for competitive exam preparation. His hard work paid off when he cleared AIEEE and secured admission to BIT Mesra. However, financial constraints forced him to drop out before completing his engineering degree. Refusing to give up, Raushan stayed back and began preparing for government job examinations. Though he came close to clearing the BPSC exam, success eluded him. Instead of returning home, he chose a different path. On September 1, 2017, he launched Gyan Bindu GS Academy, now known as Gyan Bindu Coaching. The institute began with just four students, but Raushan taught them with unwavering dedication.
