This withdrawal prompted the Bharatiya Janata Party to mock the ruling party candidate's previous claims of unyielding strength. Local voters report a peaceful, festival-like atmosphere, contrasting it with the fear that dominated the region for the past fifteen years. The Bharatiya Janata Party candidate expressed confidence in securing a massive victory, noting the absence of intimidation tactics and spy cameras. With the final results scheduled for May 24, the constituency expects a total voter turnout of nearly ninety percent, aligning with the broader voting trends observed across West Bengal.
