The Tamil Nadu cabinet is undergoing an expansion, with twenty-three ministers scheduled to take the oath of office. The newly expanded cabinet will include twenty-one ministers from the ruling party and two from the Congress party, marking a power-sharing development in the state. The swearing-in ceremony is taking place at the Lok Bhavan in Chennai, administered by the Governor of Tamil Nadu.
The total strength of the state cabinet is expected to reach thirty-three members. Opportunities for ministerial berths are also being kept open for other alliance partners, including the VCK and the IUML, who are expected to be accommodated at a later stage. The expansion aims to provide representation to various regions across the state, including the northern, central, southern, and western sectors.
