Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive has scripted a historic milestone by becoming the first Indian motorcycle brand to complete a lap of the legendary Isle of Man TT Mountain Circuit, one of the world's most demanding and iconic motorcycle courses. The achievement was accomplished on June 6, 2026, when five Ultraviolette F77 MACH 2 motorcycles successfully completed a lap of the famed 37.72-mile (60.72km) Mountain Course. The accomplishment marks a significant moment not only for Ultraviolette but also for India's growing electric mobility ecosystem. By completing one of motorcycling's most revered racing circuits, the Bengaluru-based manufacturer has showcased the performance and capability of Indian-developed electric motorcycles on a global stage. Commenting on the achievement, Ultraviolette CEO and co-founder Narayan Subramaniam said the successful completion of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course was a proud moment for Indian engineering and demonstrated the progress made in high-performance electric motorcycle technology. Subramaniam also highlighted the significance of electric racing in advancing innovation, noting that the former TT Zero category had proven the potential of electric motorcycles and expressing hope that electric racing would return to the Isle of Man TT in the future.
The record further strengthens Ultraviolette's international credentials. The company says the F77 is currently the only Indian electric two-wheeler certified for sale in the United Kingdom and 18 other European countries.
