The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Veena Vijayan, daughter of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, for questioning in connection with the CMRL-Exalogic financial transactions case. According to sources, Veena Vijayan has been asked to appear before the ED's Kochi office on June 12. The agency has also issued summons to eight other individuals, including officials linked to Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL), as part of its ongoing investigation into alleged financial irregularities.
The development comes days after the ED conducted searches at multiple locations linked to Veena Vijayan, Exalogic Solutions and others connected to the case. Investigators are expected to question those summoned about the nature of the transactions under scrutiny. The case has emerged as a major political flashpoint in Kerala, with opposition parties targeting the ruling Left government over the allegations, while the accused have denied any wrongdoing.
