The Enforcement Directorate has issued summons to the former Chief Minister of Kerala, who is also the current opposition leader, and his daughter, directing them to appear before the agency on June 12. The case involves an alleged money laundering of Rs 2.78 crore linked to transactions between CMRL and a firm owned by the former Chief Minister's daughter.
This development follows an order by the Kerala High Court directing the Enforcement Directorate to go ahead with the case. Previously, an agency team was attacked and its vehicle vandalised outside the former Chief Minister's residence, resulting in injuries to officials. The central agency has issued summons to nine people, including the former Chief Minister's daughter and officials associated with CMRL.
