As part of the ongoing Dasara Navaratri celebrations, Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi was adorned with currency notes and worshipped in her Kalaratri avatar on the seventh day at Sri Mahashakti temple in Karimnagar on Saturday.
The temple witnessed a large turnout of devotees. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar performed special pujas and participated in the rituals. Sri Lakshmi Sahasranama Parayanam, spiritual discourses and a Dandiya programme were among the day’s events.
In Khammam, special rituals, including Lakshmi Ashtottara Parayanam and Sahasra Kamala Lakshmi Havanam, marked the seventh day of Sarannavaratri celebrations at Sri Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari
temple at Guttala Bazar. The temple is celebrating golden jubilee of its Sarannavaratri festivities under the aegis of its chairman Mellacheruvu Venkateshwara Rao.
