It’s not some larger-than-life fear. But the small things like, ‘Will I be good enough?’” Kangana said. The actor explained that stepping into politics has brought with it a fresh set of challenges, insecurities and moments of self-reflection. Having entered Parliament after winning the Lok Sabha elections from Mandi, she admitted that she frequently questions whether she fits the expectations associated with her new position. Adjusting to life as a politician “Especially in my new job as a politician, what is the right way for me to be? Am I too much of an actress?
Am I dressing up too much? Is it okay if I wear sleeveless? Am I being judged?” she said. Kangana shared that she often wonders whether she is presenting herself appropriately and meeting the standards expected of a public representative. “Or am I being good enough? Or is it the right way to be? Or am I still too much of a heroine?” she added. Balancing two identities Despite her strong public image, Kangana acknowledged that self-questioning remains a part of her journey as she balances her identities as both a performer and a politician.
“So, there are obviously so many fears or doubts that one can have on a daily basis. Maybe not one lingering fear, but on a daily basis, you may have so many doubts, especially when you are into something new,” she said.
