During an interview at the DMK headquarters, Ariviyam, a party representative clarified the party's decision to exit the India Alliance, stating that the cadres are angry after the Congress shifted its alliance to other parties. The representative confirmed that the party would not attend alliance meetings, aligning with the Aam Aadmi Party's stance.
Addressing local issues, the representative condemned the TVK government's arrest of YouTuber Maridhas, stating that citizens have a right to criticise the government in a democracy. Furthermore, the representative dismissed allegations made by Prohibition Minister Vignesh regarding the siphoning of TASMAC funds under the previous government, attributing the claims to ignorance and asserting that the state-run agency is not a private company.
