The Hindu Downtown is delighted to organise the Made of Chennai Kolu Kondattam 2026, an annual celebration of the vibrant Kolu tradition that brings communities together across the State during Navaratri. The initiative celebrates the creativity, devotion and cultural spirit of the festival, inviting residents to showcase their distinctive Kolu arrangements and keep this cherished tradition alive. Residents can participate in the contest by uploading photographs of their Kolu display along with a photograph of themselves.
Each participant may submit up to three Kolu display images and one video. To earn additional points from the judges, participants are encouraged to feature ITC Mangaldeep and Dheepam products as part of their Kolu arrangement. Each image must not exceed 5 MB, while the video must be within 20 MB. Contestants can register and upload their entries at fline.news/MOCKL2026PA or scan the QR code below. Registrations are open from October 11 to October 15, 2026.
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on the theme, creativity, presentation, and overall appeal. Participants are encouraged to explore imaginative concepts while honouring the traditions and cultural significance of Navaratri. The most outstanding displays will be selected as winners.
