A 27-year-old woman is reported to have died after a suspected gas geyser leak at a homestay in Kalkandu in Somwarpet in Kodagu district on Sunday.
The police identified the victim as Vinutha, a native of Mysuru, who was on a trip to Kodagu along with her colleagues from a private company in Bengaluru, where she was employed.
The incident took place when Vinutha went to take a bath and took an unusually long time to come out of the bathroom. Her colleagues,
who found her unconscious in the bathroom, rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead.
