D.E. Shaw India, which is a part of the global investment and technology development firm D. E. Shaw group, plans to open a 6-lakh sq. ft. workspace in Neopolis here, next year. The office will create more opportunities for employees to work across teams, exchange ideas and solve problems while reinforcing long-term commitment to Hyderabad and India, D.E. Shaw India said on Wednesday after IT and Industries Minister D.Sridhar Babu participated in an event to mark its 30 years of operations in the country.
The firm has been part of the city’s landscape for three decades and the new office is a welcome sign of its continued confidence in Hyderabad, the Minister said. D.E. Shaw India opened its first office in Hyderabad in 1996 with 20 people and expanded to Bengaluru and Gurugram in 2023. It now has 2,500 people across the three cities.
The company offers careers across technology, financial research, financial operations and corporate functions and hires at all experience levels. “Investing and technology have changed dramatically in 30 years, and the rigour and skills our D.E. Shaw India colleagues bring to the firm have helped us remain at the forefront,” said Eddie Fishman, managing director and executive committee member.
“The new office marks the next chapter of our growth in the country,” said Chaitanya Gorrepati, managing director and operating committee member of D.E. Shaw India.
