Apple's next-generation iPhones are still three months away from launch, but leaks surrounding the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have already started offering a good picture of what the company could be planning. While Apple is also expected to introduce its first foldable iPhone this year, the spotlight continues to remain on the traditional Pro models, which are tipped to receive upgrades across performance, battery life, cameras and connectivity. If Apple follows its usual launch cycle, the iPhone 18 Pro series is likely to debut in the first or second week of September 2026. Reports also suggest that the company could change its release strategy this year by prioritising the premium models, while the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e may arrive later in 2027. As a result, most of the leaks currently emerging are centred around the Pro lineup. Read Full Story The latest reports indicate that Apple is preparing meaningful improvements rather than a simple yearly refresh. From a slimmer Dynamic Island and a more powerful chipset to larger batteries and upgraded camera hardware, the iPhone 18 Pro series could bring several changes aimed at premium smartphone buyers. We will also take a look at the expected India price of the iPhone 18 Pro Max and its 18 Pro model as analysts have given some hint on that as well. Here are all the details based on the leaks. Slimmer Dynamic Island, familiar design Apple is reportedly not planning a major redesign for the iPhone 18 Pro series. The devices are expected to retain the overall look of the current Pro models, including the triple-camera setup on the rear and the large camera plateau design seen in recent generations.
The biggest visual change could arrive on the front. Multiple leaks claim Apple is working on reducing the size of the Dynamic Island. Earlier reports suggested that the company could move Face ID technology under the display, but newer information indicates that the technology may not be ready for mass production. Instead, Apple is expected to make the Dynamic Island noticeably smaller. According to tipster Ice Universe, the cutout could be around 35 percent narrower than the current version, giving users more usable screen space without completely removing the feature. Display sizes are unlikely to change. The iPhone 18 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max may continue with a 6.9-inch screen. Apple is also rumoured to be adopting a more efficient LTPO+ panel technology, which could help improve battery life. The Pro Max model may become slightly thicker this year. Leaks suggest the device could measure around 8.8mm, compared to 8.75mm on the previous generation. While the difference sounds minor, it could allow Apple to accommodate a larger battery. Battery improvements are expected to be one of the upgrades of the new lineup. Reports suggest the iPhone 18 Pro Max could feature a battery between 5,100mAh and 5,200mAh. Combined with a more efficient processor and display technology, the device could deliver longer battery life than its predecessor. A20 Pro chip, camera upgrades, Apple's new modem At the heart of the iPhone 18 Pro lineup is expected to be Apple's new A20 Pro chipset. The processor is tipped to be manufactured using TSMC's advanced 2-nanometre process, which could deliver better performance while reducing power consumption. Leaks suggest users may see up to 15 percent faster performance and around 30 percent better efficiency compared to the previous generation.
