Jaipur JDA Bulldozer Action LIVE: Noorani Mosque Near Nandpuri Underpass Demolished, RAF Stand Guard Published By, Edited By Last Updated: June 08, 2026, 11:41 IST JDA bulldozers have razed the Noorani Mosque near Nandpuri underpass in Jaipur's Malviya Nagar as part of a road-widening drive, with 3,000 cops and RAF on ground. Internet services across Jaipur North and Jaipur East police station areas have been suspended until midnight on June 9. Jaipur woke up to a heavy security lockdown Monday as the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) launched a sweeping anti-encroachment drive in the Nandpuri area of Malviya Nagar, demolishing illegal structures — including portions of the Noorani Mosque — to widen a key road corridor to 80 feet. The operation, backed by over 3,000 police personnel and RAF units, has turned the neighbourhood into a virtual fortress. The drive targets encroachments falling within the right-of-way of the arterial road connecting Jagatpura to Jawahar Circle. Five religious structures — one mosque, one mazar, one satsang bhavan, and two temples — have been identified for demolition. While the two Hindu structures were voluntarily vacated by their managements ahead of the operation, the Muslim community had formally refused to vacate the mosque. Internet services across Jaipur North and Jaipur East police station areas have been suspended until midnight on June 9, with Section 163 prohibitory orders in force banning gatherings of five or more persons.

LIVE UPDATES: Here’s What Has Happened So Far • Internet shutdown extended: Divisional Commissioner V. Saravan Kumar has issued a revised order extending the internet ban by another 24 hours — now in effect from June 8 midnight to June 9 midnight. All 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G mobile data services are suspended across most police station areas in Jaipur North and Jaipur East. WhatsApp, Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, and all other social media platforms remain blocked. • Bulldozers now facing mosque’s main structure: After completing demolition of the rear section of the Noorani Mosque, JDA’s heavy bulldozers and dumper trucks have moved to the front of the structure. Trucks are queued on-site to clear debris immediately as demolition proceeds, to keep the main road unobstructed. • Rear section of Noorani Mosque fully razed: JDA’s enforcement team, operating under heavy police and security agency presence, has completely demolished the rear portion of the Noorani Mosque that fell within the road’s right-of-way. Bulldozers have now turned toward the mosque’s main front section. • Water tankers deployed to control dust: To prevent rising dust clouds from aggravating tensions or reducing visibility during the demolition, JDA has deployed special water tankers on-site. Continuous water spraying is being carried out alongside bulldozer action.

• Rooftop deployment, drone surveillance in place: Police personnel have been positioned on rooftops of surrounding buildings. Drone cameras are monitoring the area from the air while CCTV cameras cover ground movement. Any suspicious activity is being tracked in real time. • Noorani mosque structure demolished: The entire Noorani Mosque has been brought down in the ongoing action near the Nandpuri underpass. Illegal residential structures and pucca constructions surrounding the mosque have also been razed. • Entire area sealed, entry barred: The Nandpuri locality has been completely sealed. No civilians are being allowed entry. RAF units are deployed outside the Noorani Mosque and heavy police presence has been established across all sensitive points in the area. • Section 163 imposed, internet suspended: Prohibitory orders under Section 163 are in force, banning assemblies of five or more people, rallies, processions, and protests. Mobile internet across identified police station areas has been shut down. Authorities have warned of strict legal action against anyone spreading rumours or inflammatory content. • Muslim community refused to vacate, Hindu structures self-demolished: Ahead of the operation, the Muslim community held a meeting and formally declined to remove the mosque. In contrast, the managements of both Hindu religious structures — two temples — voluntarily dismantled them before JDA moved in.

• Operation begins at dawn with massive police force: JDA launched the anti-encroachment drive early Monday morning in Nandpuri, Malviya Nagar, with multiple JCB machines and a large police force. Senior JDA officials are personally supervising the operation on the ground. Heavy barricading was put in place from late Sunday night in anticipation of the sensitive demolition.
