(ANI) Jaipur anti-encroachment drive: Authorities have put Jaipur under an extensive security blanket, with internet services suspended across large parts of the city and more than 3,000 police personnel deployed, ahead of a major anti-encroachment drive in Malviya Nagar today. The drive is being carried out by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) as part of a long-pending road-widening project on Nandpuri Road. Officials said 134 other encroachments along the route were cleared in May, while occupants of the religious structures were given time to voluntarily remove them before the deadline expired. The affected areas include Galta Gate, Manak Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Adarsh Nagar, Brahmpuri, Nahargarh, Kotwali, Jalupura, Sanjay Circle, Shastri Nagar, Bhatta Basti, Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jaisinghpura Khor, Bani Park, Kanota, Toonga, Andhi, Jamwa Ramgarh, Samod, Raisar, Govindgarh, Chandwaji, Shahpura, Achrol, Viratnagar, Pawta, Pragpura, Manoharpur, Bhabru, Kaladera, Chomu, Harmada, Jhotwara, Kardhani, Vaishali Nagar, Sodala, Shyam Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Bajaj Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Jawahar Circle, Sanganer, Pratap Nagar, Muhana, Shivdaspura, Bagru, Dudu, Phagi and Phulera.
