Silent Hill, the psychological survival horror franchise from Japanese studio Konami, has for the most part been set in America, although the most recent excursion - Silent Hill f - was based in Japan in the 1960s era.
Now in Silent Hill Townfall, made by the Glasgow-based team Screen Burn, that location is in an entirely new place - Scotland, albeit a fictional part of it - St Amelia.
Scotland was initially going to be more of an influence than a setting, but the team ultimately decided to embrace it fully. Director Jon McKellan spoke to BBC Tech Now's Laura Cress at Gamescom, Cologne.
