Pune-based Forum for IT Employees (FITE) reached out to the Maharashtra Chief Minister, and several other ministers including labour, IT, and Higher and Technical Education on Thursday, seeking immediate intervention by setting up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the large-scale fresher job scams in the city. It added, âWe therefore humbly request the Government of Maharashtra to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct a comprehensive investigation into these organized job scams, identify all individuals and entities involved, recover funds wherever possible, and ensure strict legal action against the perpetrators.â The employee union urged the government to establish a stronger monitoring mechanism to keep such recruitment agencies and private IT firms in check. Growing IT job racket nexus in Pune Pavanjit Mane, President of FITE told Moneycontrol, âEmployees after onboarding were made to go through fake training programmes and these IT companies didnât even have any actual projects in the pipeline. This ends up creating âfake experienceâ on the candidateâs resume when they werenât even responsible for this.â âThis also alludes to the growing concern of fake job experience among larger IT companies while hiring,â he added.
