WPP has restructured its creative business in India by integrating Grey and 82.5 Communications under the Ogilvy network, a move aimed at simplifying operations and strengthening collaboration across its agency ecosystem. Media reports said Kiran Ramamurthy has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Grey 82.5, the combined entity formed through the integration of Grey and 82.5 Communications.
Anuraag Khandelwal and Mayur Varma will serve as Joint Chief Creative Officers, while Rohitash Srivastava will oversee strategy and planning as Chief Strategy Officer. Ramamurthy joined 82.5 Communications as Chief Executive Officer in 2024 after leading MediaMonks India. He has also held leadership roles at Ogilvy & Mather, Nova Medical Centers and Via.
The restructuring follows an earlier integration exercise undertaken by Ogilvy Group this year and places the leadership teams of both agencies under the oversight of VR Rajesh, Group CEO, Ogilvy India. The integration combines Grey's global network capabilities with 82.5 Communications' homegrown agency expertise, bringing the two agencies under a single leadership structure as WPP looks to strengthen its creative offering in the market.
The changes come as holding companies increasingly look to streamline operations and bring specialist capabilities together under unified structures. Growing demand for solutions spanning creativity, technology, data, commerce, experience design and earned media is prompting agencies to rethink traditional organisational models.
