The Ministry of External Affairs has updated the status of Indian nationals impacted by severe floods in Nepal, confirming that 84 Indians have been rescued. This includes 21 nationals from Tamil Nadu who returned to India and 63 individuals working on the Trishuli I project. Additionally, 149 Indians crossed safely into Nepal from China, while around 400 remain safe in China, with the Indian Embassy coordinating their evacuation.
However, 320 Indian nationals remain missing or uncontactable. Meanwhile, search, rescue, and air operations in Nuwakot heading towards Rasuwa have been halted due to continuous rain, mud, and adverse weather conditions.
