A couple from Telangana’s Nagarkurnool district welcomed a baby girl through in vitro fertilisation (IVF) at Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad, on Friday (June 5) marking another success for the hospital’s assisted reproductive services. The baby girl, weighing 3 kg, was born to Naveena and Satish, a farmer couple who had been trying to conceive for 14 years after their marriage.
According to hospital officials, the couple had previously undergone multiple IVF treatment cycles at private centres and spent nearly ₹10 lakh without success. The couple later approached the Gandhi Hospital IVF Centre, where they underwent treatment. Naveena conceived following an IVF cycle carried out in October 2025.
Doctors said both the mother and the newborn are in good health. Hospital authorities described the birth as the fourth successful IVF delivery at the Gandhi Hospital
IVF Centre and highlighted the role of government hospitals providing free fertility services in helping couples who are unable to access costly treatment in the private sector.
