The Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) is yet to finalise whether to constitute a five-member or three-member committee to hear and resolve complaints, including those raised by its former joint secretary Ansiba Hassan.
AMMA president Shwetha Menon had told the media last week that a five-member committee would be formed, comprising herself, general secretary Cuckoo Parameswaran, and three independent members outside the executive committee.
However, it is now reliably learnt that even a three-member committee, excluding the president and general secretary, may be constituted in an attempt to resolve the matter in a seemingly fair and unbiased manner ahead of AMMA’s annual general body meeting scheduled for June 21. Though a section of the media reported the names of three potential independent candidates, AMMA sources clarified that no such decision has been taken.
