Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan has been allotted the official vehicle bearing the red-coloured plate “Kerala State 1", traditionally reserved for the head of the government. Like previous administrations, ministers in the Kerala government have been assigned vehicles with special red-number plates carrying “Kerala State" markings. While officially administrative in nature, the numbering system is widely viewed in political circles as an informal reflection of a leader’s stature and influence within the government and alliance structure.
