Protestors assembled in front of the Akal Takht, the Supreme temporal and spiritual seat in Sikhism, inside the temple premises, carrying posters featuring Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale — the man behind the Sikh extremist movement who was killed by the Indian Army during Operation ‘Blue Star’.
