According to the DCA, officials found that a firm operating under the name Synix Labs at NCS Complex in Prashanthi Nagar Industrial Estate, Kukatpally, was allegedly carrying out the sale of APIs without a valid drug licence, in violation of the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
During the inspection, DCA officials seized 170 grams of Zidovudine, an antiviral drug, from the premises.
The stock was recovered from Gade Ramakrishna Reddy, proprietor of the firm.
Officials also seized purchase and sale invoices related to the trading of APIs.
