Indian chess prodigy Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa etched his name into the history books by becoming the first Indian ever to win the prestigious Norway Chess tournament.
The 19-year-old grandmaster capped off a sensational campaign with four consecutive classical victories against one of the strongest fields in world chess, securing the Norway Chess 2026 title.
Speaking after his historic triumph, Praggnanandhaa said he was "super happy" and admitted that even he had not imagined winning four classical games in a row against such elite competition.
