At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Samia Suluhu Hassan delivered a powerful speech showcasing Tanzania's rapid economic growth and ambitious vision for the future. Highlighting Tanzania's status as one of Africa's fastest-growing economies, President Hassan outlined major infrastructure projects, including railways, ports, energy generation, digital connectivity, mining, tourism, and industrial development. She emphasized Tanzania's strategic position as a gateway to East and Central Africa and invited global investors to participate in transformative projects such as the Bagamoyo Special Economic Zone, new ports, fertilizer production, mining beneficiation, and nuclear energy development.
The Tanzanian leader also stressed Africa's growing importance in the global economy, noting that by 2050, one in four people on Earth will be African.
