Democratic Representative Gwen Moore of Wisconsin says higher gasoline prices are deepening Americans' cost-of-living squeeze, pushing back on President Donald Trump's comments that Americans should accept paying "a tiny bit more" at the pump because of the war with Iran. Rep. Moore says even modest increases are creating "chaos and hardship" for families.
She also says Francesca Hong's strong showing in Wisconsin's Democratic gubernatorial primary demonstrated the resonance of her affordability message, while arguing Democrats shouldn't be bullied by Republican efforts to characterize safety-net policies as communism.
