WATCH | Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has strongly criticised Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his remarks concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India’s foreign policy. Rajnath Singh called the remarks “petty and condemnable” and said such conduct was unacceptable from the Leader of Opposition.
He accused Rahul Gandhi of damaging the dignity of the Lok Sabha LoP's office and said the comments could pose a threat to healthy democratic discourse. Singh also defended PM Narendra Modi's record and international standing, while questioning whether the Congress can claim the political legacy of leaders such as Lal Bahadur Shastri, Sardar Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhas Chandra Bose and others after such remarks.
