Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal was attacked with a kirpan at a gurdwara in Nanded by 62-year-old sevadar Nihang Jaspal Singh. Badal suffered a minor hand injury. The attacker was detained immediately, while the Akali Dal alleged a conspiracy and demanded a time-bound, court-monitored CBI probe.
