Punjab Recruitment Exam Under Court Scrutiny: Candidates Question Transparency Over 30 Marks
The Punjab government faces a setback as the recruitment examination for the Punjab Rural Development Livelihood Mission comes under court scrutiny following allegations of recruitment
The Punjab government faces a setback as the recruitment examination for the Punjab Rural Development Livelihood Mission comes under court scrutiny following allegations of recruitment irregularities and lack of transparency. Conducted for 300 vacancies with around 1,300 candidates appearing, the selection process was challenged by candidates after only marks out of 70 were declared, leaving out 30 marks allocated for qualifications, experience, and interviews.
Lawyers representing the candidates stated that the timeline and reservation roster were not followed during selection. The court has stayed the selection process following a committee report confirming discrepancies, while petitioners demand a fresh assessment and distribution of the remaining 30 marks rather than a re-examination.
