Following the conclusion of the Kanwar Yatra in Haridwar, the city is grappling with an overwhelming accumulation of waste. Nearly 7,000 metric tons of garbage were collected during the Kanwar Mela, including 2,000 tons gathered within the final two days alone. Despite the deployment of thousands of additional Swachhta Duts and over 80 vehicles, civic sanitation efforts faced severe pressure.
