The Bar Council of India has modified its decision regarding the enrollment restriction placed on law graduates from NALSAR University of Law. The initial directive was issued after a group of students protested against inviting the Chief Justice of India to their upcoming convocation ceremony. The regulatory body initially claimed that academic staff and outside elements had misguided and instigated students into organizing a boycott campaign.
However, following widespread opposition and criticism from the legal community, the council revised its stance, confirming that most students were uninvolved and permitting all graduates to proceed with state bar registrations.
